In our school, we follow the Aksharabhyas program, which includes language slates and a few books. This program teaches three languages to perfection, boosting students' confidence. Neglecting the teaching of our mother tongue may cause it to fade into the past, risking its eventual extinction. Despite historical colonization, where we were compelled to learn the languages of our colonizers (English, French, Spanish, and others), they did not carry our local languages with them when they departed from our colonies. Even today, we tend to replace our local languages with foreign languages, to the detriment of our mother tongues. While English has become a universal language, the preservation and mastery of our local languages also hold significance.
To ensure that children can express themselves comfortably, their ability to communicate in their mother tongue plays a vital role.
