Summer break in K-12 schools all across the world ranges from 4 to 13 weeks. The history of summer holidays is diverse in different countries; however, it is evident that 19th century onwards, summer break in schools became conspicuous in most countries. Research & views about the impact of summer vacation are mixed. Those who are in favour of the long summer break feel that through such breaks, the childhood stress generated due to attending school can be kept at bay to some extent.
