Today’s world is full of opportunity and is not categorised for any particular gender. All we need to do is create as much interest and opportunity for children at a very young age, which helps them identify their inherent skills. Despite progress in opening new doors of opportunity, women and girls continue to be underrepresented in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The reason may be because of the family’s influence to ensure that a girl child settles in a safe and secure working environment. Increased female participation in science is key to tackling major global challenges, including climate change.
