My mentor once told me that dealing with teenage issues is like ‘facing a hurricane’ you can’t fight it but you respect the power it has and find a safe space to bide time, once the hurricane passes then, you pick up the pieces if things are destroyed and rebuild. Dealing with teenagers is almost like dealing with a hurricane, parents can’t do much if they choose to fight it. If some parents manage to overpower the teenager at that age, the teenagers bide their time and wait for the right moment to strike. Either way, with force, what suffers, is the relationship.
